Added Jul 11, 2008 at 3:09pmA Syrah in color and body, but with only a touch of the trademark black pepper and spice of today's California Syrahs. Good, but not memorable.

Added Jul 11, 2008 at 2:59pmA very enjoyable 2005 Cab from Alexander Valley. Pronounced cherry flavors, both red and black which linger on the palate. Secondary flavors of chocolate and eucalyptus. Nice tannin structure. A well made wine.

Added Jul 6, 2008 at 4:58pmThe 2007 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough is one of the most refreshing wines on the market. An intense nose of citrus, predominantly grapefruit, is backed up by a medley of ripe fruit flavors, namely melon, white peach and lychee. Crisp and acidic, this is the quintessential warm weather white wine.

Added Jul 6, 2008 at 4:43pmThe 2000 Faiveley Clos de la Maréchale is very refined yet approachable. On the palate, flavors of soft red berries give way to darker red stone fruits followed by classic Nuits St. Georges earthiness and finishing with finely integrated tannins. A very enjoyable experience.

Added Apr 10, 2008 at 5:52pmI have tried this wine several times and it has never disappointed. A distinct wave of strawberry jam hits you on the nose. The wine possesses a very pleasant mouth feel with multiple flavors of dark stone fruits (plum, cherry) and soft spice. Tannins are nicely integrated on the finish. A very well made wine.

Added Sep 17, 2007 at 10:30pmBig, bold and rich, the 2003 Sunstone Syrah Reserve was produced with 100% certified-organic estate grown grapes. Deep in color and nearly opaque, the wine's body is somewhat chewy owing to fairly high alcohol and glycerin levels. Flavor profile - dark stone fruits of black cherry and black plums followed by classic Syrah flavors of black pepper and cloves with traces of eucalyptus as well. Almost a meal in a bottle.
