A good wine for the price but far from great but still very drinkable. Definitely improved with decanting. Cherry and rasberry mixed with very light vanilla and caramel.

Drinking it in April 2015 this wine should be way too old but surprisingly it was as fresh as if it was 3-4 years old. A very good wine with lots of blackberry, caremel and toffey. A strong full bodied wine which was excellent with beef.

For the price this is a great Spanish wine. Wonderful to drink with blackberry and vanilla flavors followed by a lovely silky velvety finish. Great value for a great drinkable wine. I drank the wine in April 2015 but this wine will be good for another 5 years at least.

Drinking this wine in 2015 it should be too old but it was superb. Slightly past its peak but still a lovely wine to drink with mature and complex notes of strawberries, raspberries, tea and caramel. Wonderful especially with some easter lamb.

Drinking it in 2015 it should be well past its peek but quiet the contrary. I cant imagine the peek was much better. A really good wine with rich merlot flavours - a perfect match for a good steak.

I drank a bottle of the 1995 in April 2015 and it was a tired and not very pleasant wine. After it was open for almost 3 hours it began to become more drinkable. Dont know if we should have given it 4 hours to breath but as i have another 11 to drink i guess i will be able to try. Eventually the wine became a not so great tasting plumy and raisiny wine.

Surprisingly good wine for such a reasonable price. Velvety with a strong berry pleasant after taste with notes of vanilla and traces of blackcurrent and plum

Drank a bottle in 2015. Paid 20 CHF for a wine worth 2. Characterless is how i would describe it. Very disappointing

I drank a bottle of this in 2014 for my 46th birthday. We decanted it for 2 hours before drinking. It was exceptionally good. It was as good as it would have been at its best. Amazing that this wine can age so well.

I recently opened a bottle of this wine in October 2012. The wine was 36 years old so my expectations were not so high. It was quite a surprise and proof to me that good German wine can last a long long time - as long as the best French. I let the wine breath for aprox 30 min before serving it. Then it had wonderful flavors of figs and apricots with a lingering taste of Acacia honey and gooseberry. We put the bottle away for the night after resealing it and proceeded to finish it the following night. Now the wine had developed more and taken on a distinctly rhuebarb and light honey flavor with a lingering taste of cold but smooth tea. All in all a delightful experience bearing in mind i had spend $12 for the bottle.
