    Lara at Oriel's Review:

Yeasty brioche with apple pie aromatics and crisp refreshing minerality. Aged ( I think) at least 8 yrs sur lie and then allowed to rest with the dosage for another 2 yrs-- but still not overly heavy, it maintains a fresh quality to it. This is a seriously good champagne.

    Lara at Oriel's Review:

Carnation pink color. Notes of tart, early summer strawberries, with just a hint of that signature spicy tempranillo. Present but not overbearing acidity.

Very earthy, forest floor on the palate. Still has lots of fruit-- dark raspberry and prune. Smooth texture, med-full body, imperceptible tannins. A real treat. 7/20/09

Anyone who thinks they don't like chardonnay should give this a shot-- lots of mineral, crisp fruit flavors, nice white burgundy.

Not a huge Chardonnay fan, but this stuff is an awesome value. Light crisp citrus and green apple flavors, no (or very little) oak, no creamy or buttery flavors. A very refreshing and tasty Chardonnay from an adorable Finger Lakes gem.

    Lara at Oriel's Review:

I found this wine to be very much light a provencal rose- light pink color, tight acidity, floral nose with light berry flavors on the mouth.

    Lara at Oriel's Review:

Had this at the prosecco vs. champagne tasting I mentioned in a forum (if you want to check that out). It was amazing with some fresh strawberries, and with a rich triple creme cheese. Very versatile food wine, though I've been known to drink it alone on more than a few occasions :-)

Had a glass this weekend-- it was a lovely wine with nice complexity. A very nice choice at around $20/bottle.

  • Lara at Oriel's Review:

This wine is one of my favorites in our Oriel portfolio; I think it is so interesting compared to others I have sampled (Santa Margherita, Tieffenbruner, Jermann, Kris, Villa Doretta, etc) because of the added Chardonnay and Fruilano components. It gives it an added complexity, a little green apple and mineral characteristic that really complement the Pinot Grigio tropical fruit and citrus flavors.
