Interesting classic Napa Cab along the lines of Silver Oak. It is a heavy drinking wine that could use a couple of years and I feel should be decanted. I drank this with a seared Moullard Duck Breast and finished the Duck with a red wine reduction I made from beef shank and mushrooms. Overall the heavy dinner complemented the wine with hints of strong tannins and taste of smoke and the barrel it was in. At the price point from the vineyard it is a little steep but has potential. I would say a nice St. Helena Cab.

I enjoyed this last night with some take out Italian and I must say it was very good. It was a light not tannic Pinot with a soft nose and hint of fruit.

I enjoyed this with braised beef shank in a red wine based braising liquid with mushrooms and garlic. The wine a 2007 was a terrific complement that was mellow and easy drinking. The tannins were soft and there was a hint of smoke and spice.

This is a great low priced Bordeaux. I prefer this with a hearty meal and on a cold night. There are layers of curant and a earthy tone that opens up with decanting.

I keep this around a lighter table wine. The average cost is around $8 and has a nice rich nose that is rich with a slight spiciness.
