Added Jul 31, 2011 at 3:14amForget what previous mixed white box wines have done. This one I just can't complain too much about. Sure it goes in too many directions and it is over all an uneven wine. However being a student of wine I found it to be decently entertaining and easy going. For me (probably not everyone) I definatly get the Viognier upfront followed by the riesling/gewürztraminer combo midway with the sauvignon blanc providing an overall back bone and finish. The verdeloh, pinot gris, and semillon we'rnt all that prevalent, but I haven't had any sole varietals of verdeloh, so maybe I'm missing it all together. Or the whole point in general since verdeloh is made mainly for madeira.

Added Jul 23, 2011 at 7:46pmI'm just going to start off by saying I'm a huge Joel Gott fan. I love they're generic 2008 cab, and they're 2008 zin, both true values. This one is great too, however if I compare in price to say Star Lane, Frank Family, or Paul Hobbs 2006 Crossbarn. I'd take any of those before I took this one.

Added Jul 23, 2011 at 7:38pmI have no problem rating this wine 3 glasses. The best $4 sauivignon blanc I've had. I've had $10 sauvignon blancs that wern't this good. Grapefruit, grassy notes, herbs, on the nose and palate. A very affordable generic sauvignon blanc.

Domaine Pinot Gris 2009
Added Jul 23, 2011 at 7:23pmIn my opinion the ultimate go to white for casual nights. Great honey suckle, stone fruits, white flowers on the nose. Melon, honey, and lemon lime flavors dominate the palate. Incredibly easy drinking, this is what an Oregon pinot gris is supposed to taste like.

Added Jul 23, 2011 at 7:12pmNothing to write home about on this bottle. Interesting plum flavors, weak finish. Certainly not worth $20 and up. Maybe try to find this one on sale.

Average Price: $13.99
Added Jul 23, 2011 at 4:58pmToo many fruits going in too many directions on this one. It's basically a citrus fruit salad with a splash of pineapple. Not impressed.

Added Jul 23, 2011 at 4:52pmNice ripe plum on entry followed by alot of oak and chocolate. Too much chocolate on the finish for my tastes but over all a cabernet thats worth the money.

Added Jul 23, 2011 at 3:24pmMost serious wine drinkers out there have that one bottle that got them serious and this was definatly mine. Perfect smooth entry, lots of dark fruits, and amazing lingering finish. When you have a special occasion this is the wine to get.

Added Jul 22, 2011 at 7:27pmA gentle and complex pinot noir, great from start to finish. This pinot noir has beaten plenty of higher priced bottles I've had.

Added Jul 22, 2011 at 7:08pmI can't realy say enough about this bottle. From the second you put your nose in the glass you'll understand. Rich, deep concentraition on the fruit. Bing cherry, cracked black pepper, and licorice flavors dominate. This proving once again that Orin Swift Cellars can do no wrong.
