April 2009
This is a rich Cote Du Rhone Villages, more promising on the nose than on the palate. Very aromatic and Tannic, the 2004 we had had its butt kicked by the Calabrese salami and Sicilian olives. It is slightly flat on the palate and should benefit from bottle aging, as there are definitely some tannins. Not a long finish.

This is far more interesting than any ice wine I have ever had, as it is essentially a dessert wine. Spice and ripe fruit on the nose with familiar Lychee on the nose and palate in spades along with much syrupy honeyed smoke. This is gorgeous and sensual wine. Delicious.

This is an easy-drinking balanced Prosecco. Organically-grown Prosecco grapes, vat-fermented. Equivalent to a demi-sec on the Champagne sweetness scale, this wine exhibits subtle green-apple and a hint of lime on the nose, and the familiar yeasty fresh bread dough component. I can also sense fresh laundry. It is delicious.
