Superb value. Vintner studied in champagne region. This is not overly dry (a plus in my book), but not overly sweet, either. Balanced. Mild acid. Big, bold hits of apple and citrus. Chill and enjoy!

It seems surprising that the sake world and the sparkling wine would have anything in common, but they do - a puzzling obsessive belief that absolute bone dry somehow equals good. I disagree on both counts.

I didn't have this with grilled sausages or Parrillada Mixta, but I did have it with a rather gamy petite filet, and I think I would have been nowhere near as satisfied with the meal without this wonderful Malbec. Soft, sumptuous, smoky and sweet. Very complex. Cassis, blackberry, charcoal and warm spices on the nose. Very fruity and sweet, trailing into minerals and light tannins. Really a very nice wine. Definitely top on my list next time I'm shopping for Malbec.

Not so sure if I would call the acidity "balanced". It was a little high for me. Other flavor and aroma notes were good. Not something I'd buy for the price, but I wouldn't turn it down if offered, either.

Interesting, to say the least. Nose is balanced and fruity. First sip explodes onto the palate with sour berries and tannic notes, coats the mouth, then subsides into a dry, smooth finish.

Rather dry and acidic. Not my favorite red blend, but not my least favorite either.
