    Some mineral notes with floral aroma. Smelled like fresh fruit. Smooth and silky and none of that 'oily' character sometimes happens with Viognier. Nice wine and I will be versatile with food.

    Solid Pinot that really displays the Carneros expression. Aromas of cherry & rose petals with hints of caramel and earth. Nice balance, good acid with red cherry and some earthiness.

  • Anaba 'Coriol' Red Rhone Blend Sonoma Valley 2006

    HondaJohn's Review:

    Solid Rhone blend but tasted a bit tight. Needs age or air to open up. Nice smokey, meaty aroma with hints of red fruit. There is a nice bit of spice with a medium finish. Was muted but can see this opening up nicely.

    Cherry, moss and smoky-earthy aromas. Nice tannin with red cherry flavors mixed with earthy component. Medium tannins and nice long finish.

    Uncharacteristically smooth Sauv Blanc. Barrel aged Sur-Lees to get a smoothness in the finish. Lots of lemon citrus in the nose with good acid but silky smooth finish.

    Outstanding (although pricey) dessert wine. Sweet but balanced. Lovely honey, apricot and peach aromas. Smooth silky taste with good acid and creamy texture. Honey, caramel and citrus flavors. Yum.
