Bright fresh wine with grassy and citrus notes. Good acid as expected from a sauvignon blanc and proves that a good sauvignon blanc can come from Sonoma County.

Definitely improved with air. Smokey and earthy with not a lot of fruit but a lot of Burgundian style. Probably should have waited another year.

Is it bad to love a second label more than the first? When the wines are young, I tend to pick Decoy over the same vintage Duckhorn. The 2006 Decoy is no exception. One year after my first review of this wine, good balance, a little hot, smokiness, spice, and leather. Earthy, nice tannins and dark fruit. Worked well with a rib-eye.

Great example that a well made white wine can age. Citrus and sweet cream aromas with some herbs. Nice acid but smooth with citrus, spice and creme brulee. Nice long finish.

Lovely riesling. Some honey, floral and hint of petroleum in the nose. Some citrus and apple too. Nice acidity. Surprisingly smooth with some honey, ripe apple and a medium finish. Wish I held it one more year.

One of my new favorites at $20 or under ... smoke, spice and leather in the aroma. Spice, earth and smoke in the taste. Nice tannins and a long finish. Need to stock up on this.

Nice smooth cabernet ... at little rough after opening but decanting helped. Rich dark fruit with a bit of oak in the nose. Smooth tannins with a medium finish.

I have not been liking Zin much lately but this wine is really nice. Nose has a lot of red fruit but a hint of caramel. Nice spicy red fruit flavors with smooth tannins and long finish. Only complaint is that is still pretty hot but manages it well.

Surprisingly well balanced and smooth. Nice dark fruit with some earthiness. Enjoyed with basic prime rib.

Shows promise but was a little out of balance to me. Lots of orange rind aromas. Some honey and white fruit. A little sweeter than expected could be that acid was a little low. May need more time to come together.
