Slightly tight initially but opened nicely after a 2 hour decant and benefitted with some fatted food (grilled beef tenderloin), and actually paired beautifully with aged gouda after dinner. Dark fruit with beautifully balanced structure. Certainly drinkable now (but decant for several hours before consuming), but would favor holding an additional 3 to 5 years to see if some of the 3ry notes will develop.
