I am one for unusual pairings... that being said, I decided to break with tradition and before dining, I had this wine with some fresh, ripe cherries that I just happened to have on hand. Wow! Not only did they compliment the Sangio, but it brought the flavor out of the fruit. (Don't ask me how.. think strawberries and champagne) The wine was light enough to not overpower and still had enough fruit to light up my nose. We will be keeping this one around.

This is a fantastic wine and more than most snobbish wine purists would expect from a screw top. This shiraz opens up beautifully in a large glass or decanted. (the glass I am having now has been open for hours) It's jammy, fruit forward and heavy nosed, with a color like the deepest of black cherry or licorice. The lightness and smooth texture is surprising considering its other attributes. The finish fades into nothing but a tanged reminder on the sides of the tongue. I love this wine for drinking, but it goes equally well with tender meats.

Delicate floral nose, balanced acid, but not dry. The texture is medium weight and flows over the tongue nicely. Flavor has some tart fruits, like citrus with apricots. This is a very enjoyable table or relaxation wine. It goes great with baked chicken or Chinese food.

This is a very interesting / unique wine. At first, lightly chilled, the taste is extremely light... almost flat and unassumingly flavorless. As the wine warms to room temp, it goes through several levels of transformation to become a much brighter, citris, floral and fruit forward white wine. Wonderful with food, it was light enough to not be overpowering but pronounced enough to hold it's own.

This grape shows its crisp, clean taste here, but then adds a real sweetness on the back end to soften it before it fades out. The nose is sweet flowers and a very light honey. So very nice as a chilled enjoyment out on the deck in late evening.

The nose gives a deceivingly deep taste of grape and plumb... however, its flavor is very light and fleeting. This is a wine that would not offend anyone if you served it with something as unassuming as a batch of nachos.

I liked this wine, but it was somewhat ordinary. It was good, just nothing extraordinary. I has a nice nose, legs, and body. But, it is too light for the substance you expect to be there. Nice for a family dinner with pasta and homemade sauce.

This is a beautiful wine with light sparkling characteristics. It has a fruit nose that is almost sickeningly sweet and the taste is like a honey meade with apricots and white grapes. It should be heavy for its flavor but turns light weight in texture on your tongue.

The nose is heavily floral with berries, like sweet preserves but less heavy. The color is also like jelly or jam.. very dark, yet clear with some great legs. The flavor is surprisingly soft and velvety with the deep undertones you would expect from 100% Tempranillo "Crianza". However there is a lack of spice on the back end. It is warm and soft like a deep kiss. It went great with marinated steak.

This wine was ok. It has hints of herb, flowers, dark fruit and spice. The spice comes very forward when drinking, actually surprisingly so. But, beyond that... this wine is just that.. spicy but not particularly note worthy. I would have it again with food, but not a special meal.
