Baudry is without a doubt one of Chinon's most acclaimed wineries and this silky, chalky, not-a-touch-green Cab Franc displays the winery's notable prowess and precision in dealing with this fairly demanding grape variety. This is simply exceptional vino, teeming with graceful blackberry and black raspberry fruit and plush, velvety tannins. Great tension and gorgeous minerality add up to a phenomenal example of Loire Valley wine. This Garnatxa, Catalan for Grenache, is a real show-stopper, beginning with the rush of floral aromas you get when you stick your nose in the glass, all the way down to the wine's mouth-watering sweet and sour pomegranate and plum flavors. Made with organically grown grapes, and fermented using wild yeasts, this natural wine is quite feminine and pretty in style and leaves a lasting impression. This California take on a classic Loire Valley red is a very welcome surprise with only 13% alcohol and fresh, anise-inflected red cherry fruit. A vibrant, sassy, and feminine wine that uses subtlety to get noticed. Bebame means "drink me" in Spanish! This is crazy delicious Oregon grown organic and biodynamic Gamay that's a sort of new world homage to Cru Beaujolais. The vineyard where this fruit is sourced dates back to 1983 and the result is a funky, savory, vivacious wine that displays gorgeous red currant fruit, refreshing herbal undertones, and mouth watering acidity. A fabulous little gem! Click here to watch my video review of this wine: http://www.plonkwinemerchants.com/oregon/evening-land-celebration-gamay-noir/

This biodynamically grown Xinomavro is a serious hidden gem from Greece that recalls the stylish grace of Burgundian Pinot Noir and the vivid freshness of Ribeira Sacra Mencia. Juicy, earthy, and super clean on the palate, this wine delivers a mouthful of bright bing cherry fruit has beautiful purity and intensity. Don't even attempt to pronounce the name of this native Hungarian grape - just go ahead and take a sip! You'll quickly be rewarded by a firecracker of a wine, brimming with aromatic apricot fruit and high-toned pink grapefruit flavors. This wine just pops in the mouth with its bracing acidity and its clean and crisp texture. A real gem from an under-the-radar region. Grolleau is an ancient grape variety native to the Loire Valley in France that winemaker Olivier Cousin practically revived from the brink of extinction. This phenomenal example is grown 100% naturally and biodynamically and boasts an incredible nose full of violets and funky barnyard aromas that are utterly captivating. The wine shows nice tannic grip, fresh red berry fruit, chalky minerals, and vibrant acidity. A true hidden gem not to be missed! This inky, savory example of St. Laurent, an Austrian clone of Pinot Noir, is very reminiscent of the Mencia you see in the region of Bierzo in Spain. Displaying mineral notes of iron, tangy blackberry fruit, smoked meat, and exotic spices like anise and clove, this is very clean and lean, with noteworthy focus and precision in the mouth. A very cool wine with a lot of personality and charm. Click here to watch my video review of this wine: http://www.plonkwinemerchants.com/austria/winzerkeller-andau-st.-laurent/
