    David Kohl's Review:

Expect floral, peach flavors in this light wine with mild minerality and acidity. Pairs with grilled chicken with herbs and a hot mustard sauce, or cedar planked salmon with honey mustard.

    David Kohl's Review:

This is a full bodied, dry, "good earth" wine with balanced tannins. Drink with "country food" such as steaks and chops, braised beef, or if you're thinking Italian, meatballs and spaghetti. Let this wine breath (my experience is that it really opened up on the second day).

The "Art Series" represents Leeuwin's most opulent and age-worthy wines. This Shiraz possesses an amazing intensity of dark fruits with a bouquet of fresh cracked pepper, sweet ripe blackberry, plums and mulberries. You'll taste hints of chocolate and dusty oak on the finish. The fine tannins hold the flavors in your mouth long after drinking. Pair with grilled lamb to enjoy the complementary flavors of this excellent wine.

Expect huge earthy notes with a finish of black cherry, dark berries and chocolate. Pairs with brisket, roasts and other fatty red meats. Let this wine breath at least 30 minutes before drinking.

White peach and pear flavors make this rich, buttery wine work well with grilled chicken served with a fruit sauce (e.g., smothered in apples). The wine has a long finish.

Expect honey suckle, apricot and tropical fruits with floral notes in this aromatic, lean, crisp wine with balanced acidity. Pairs with sea bass or swordfish (the acid balances the fat in these fish). Consider this a great "hanging out by the pool" sipping wine.

    David Kohl's Review:

This wine exhibits flavors of strawberries, raspberries and other red fruits. It works with a nice summer salad (e.g., endive, greens, arugula with a vinaigrette and shaved parmigiana). The vinegar is a must as this wine needs some acidity against its fruit-forward flavors.

Stone fruit flavors, such as apricots and peaches. Pairs with turkey or chicken (e.g., drier white meats) with herbs along with a side of wild rice. Because it is full-bodied and flavorful, this wine is also an excellent match for Mediterranean stews and food with heat (e.g., Thai curry or spicy Mexican dishes).

A spice box of red fruit and chocolate, this medium-bodied wine's intense berry flavor makes it the perfect match for lean cuts of meat. Serve this selection with garlic-rubbed fillet mignon and a red wine reduction with asparagus and browned shallots. Lean beef, though tender, needs a concentrated berry flavor to help with the lack of fat in the meat.

  • David Kohl's Review:

Sweet tannins mix with intense blackberries and cherries. Good acidity-to-sugar balance for a table wine. Pairs with grilled steak.
