The nose is deeply confectionery, all golden honey & caramel. At 40% Tocai, 40% Moscato, and 20% Riesling, the bold, sugary aromas come as no surprise. But what happens next is nothing short of magic, a brilliant sleight of hand, a trick of mirrors: on the palate, the sweetness turns subtle, and very nearly slips from reach altogether. The tongue experiences the sugar not as an afterthought, but as an echo, as an elegant act of shyness. As fireworks, lighting distant hills.

A city girl with country roots: Delicate almost-prune and wildflowers on the nose, petal soft in the mouth with fresh touches of wet weeds, eucalyptus, and distant smoke beneath the pleasing red fruit. Balanced, gentle & lovely.

Plum and then pollen-heavy flowers on the nose, probably purple ones, likely with thorns; there's grilled meat somewhere just beyond them. Wonderfully smooth with dark fruit up front and bitter chocolate down below. Soil, spice on the long finish.

The nose is a dusty road lined with shriveling black cherry, barnyard notes of straw and dill limn the edges. Well-balanced but tough-talking: it's big, juicy, and tired of your nonsense. Warm oak and spice through to the finish.

Cheap & cheerful, with big bright kiwi & grapefruits up front, but the finish turns flaccid, and fast; straight from the fridge it drinks a bit like its already had too much air.

Hyper crisp & bone dry, this is a value sparkler with creamy peach and grassy contours. After just a little air, you'll find a distant hit of banana on the nose.

The nose is sea air and green grass and fresh laundry, the sort strung on ropes in the sun. Honeysuckle and a squirt of lemon mid-palate, with bright, sequined acidity that unfurls for ages on the finish. Straightforward and lovely.

An alluring & imaginative wine that speaks in landscapes: Wet wildflowers and hillside grasses unfurl on the nose; shipyard notes of steel and sunshine, saltwater and peat stretch through to the finish.
