Added May 17, 2010 at 2:49pmThere's all manner of barnyard and orchard aromas, from wet wool and hard rind cheese to dry straw and horse apples. Thick, woodsy fruit on the palate, nice structure with surprising acidity and super-soft tannins.

Added May 17, 2010 at 2:41pmFirst up, the aromas of wet slate, bell pepper, dry grass; juicy and round in the mouth, with big citrus, a touch of jalapeno, and a dusting of KoolAid powder on the finish.

Added May 17, 2010 at 2:37pmA Pinot Grigio wearing Chardonnay drag. It's weird. There's mango and lemon and butter up front. I assumed it was a ruse, a bait & switch to something more reserved in the mouth. But it just gets fruitier, creamier, even more specific: mandarin oranges, grapefruit, sun-baked blades of St. Augustine.

Added May 9, 2010 at 8:37pmWet wool, cola, and the early-morning smell of freshly-planted crops: earth, sunshine, the minerality of fertilizer. On the palate, it's surprisingly refreshing, with a sexy sweetness that slips in and out of the pretty, tasty fruit.
