Added May 17, 2010 at 2:41pmFirst up, the aromas of wet slate, bell pepper, dry grass; juicy and round in the mouth, with big citrus, a touch of jalapeno, and a dusting of KoolAid powder on the finish.

Added May 17, 2010 at 2:37pmA Pinot Grigio wearing Chardonnay drag. It's weird. There's mango and lemon and butter up front. I assumed it was a ruse, a bait & switch to something more reserved in the mouth. Added May 17, 2010 at 2:30pmA tropical nose, a touch honied; in the mouth, it's steely & bright, with green apple, almond, and florals at the very end.

Tapena Garnacha 2008
Added May 11, 2010 at 7:22pmWoodsy black cherries and a bit of exhaust on the nose, a suggestion of orange oil. Smokier fruit in the mouth, a bit of mashed strawberry before the soft tannins show up. Rough around the edges.

Added May 10, 2010 at 6:56pmVery pretty, loaded with lime and green apple, the oak is there, but it knocks politely before letting itself in. Nicely balanced acidity.

May 9, 2010 at 8:37pm
Added May 9, 2010 at 8:37pmWet wool, cola, and the early-morning smell of freshly-planted crops: earth, sunshine, the minerality of fertilizer. On the palate, it's surprisingly refreshing, with a sexy sweetness that slips in and out of the pretty, tasty fruit.

Lynmar Pinot Noir 2006
Added May 9, 2010 at 8:35pmRich cherries on the nose; very inviting, mouthwateringly juicy strawberry notes on the palate, underlined by something darker, something further into the woods. A bit of Luden's on the finish.

Added May 9, 2010 at 8:32pmDusty dried cherries on the nose, earthier still in the mouth, with elegant, thoughtful notes of chocolate and mashed berries. Just lovely.
