Added Jul 18, 2011 at 8:42pmDisappointing. One dimensional without the Tuscan dirt/mushroom aroma we look forward to. Tight nose and tough tannins. Doesn't compete with other Tuscan chianti's. see more at corkedwine.blogspot.com

Added Nov 11, 2009 at 10:27amThis Rioja is made from 100% tempranillo grapes and has been aged in new French oak barrels for 24 months. This bright red Rioja starts off with aromas of currants, cherries, and raspberries along with some vanilla and oak. The oak is well balanced with the juicy red fruit flavors. I also picked up on some tobacco and a little herbal note on the back. It had a really enjoyable finish.

Added Nov 11, 2009 at 10:25amThis light yellow colored wine had a wonderful citrus nose along with some apples and peaches. The lemon and limes were dominant on the palate along with some grassiness. It concluded with some acidic grapefruit on the back end.

Added Nov 11, 2009 at 10:14amThe 2007 Petite Sirah has a dark purple hue with lush aromas of blackberries, blueberries, cherries and a hint of herbs and spices. The flavors were more from the black fruits along with some plum, cedar and ending with white pepper. This is a very good wine that I think will only get better over the next 5 years.

Added Nov 11, 2009 at 10:11amThis dark purple wine has explosive aromas of jammy fruit including plum, cherry and currant followed by some hints of tobacco and smokey oak. On the palate, this full-bodied cabernet opens with wonderful black fruit flavors of blackberries and black cherries with some black tea and pepper in the middle and some licorice on the back. The oak was subtle and the tannins were rather soft for such a big and young Cabernet.

Added Nov 11, 2009 at 10:05amThe coloring is almost as clear as water but the nose had incredible aromas of peaches and apricots along with some oranges and citrus. There were wonderful floral notes on top. The palate was full of fruits and mineral tastes from the terroir. This is a steal at $7.

Added Jun 21, 2009 at 6:40pmThis is a nice French Bordeaux that has a mix of 45% merlot, 35% cabernet sauvignon, 15% cabernet franc and 5% petite verdot. It has a nice aroma of raspberry and tastes of raspberry and black currant with a hint of vanilla. The tannins are nicely structured and ends with a nice long finish. We served it with a lamb tagine, an apricot couscous and a tabbouleh salad. Paired very nicely with the dish.

Added Apr 19, 2009 at 6:50pmThis easy drinking wine from Italy is a mix of Corvina and Rondinella grapes. It has a cherry nose along with pepper and spices followed by a raisin taste. Would go well with a pasta dish.
