Added Jun 2, 2012 at 12:06pmAromatic nose, peach and citrus, which was consistent with the taste. Tasted lemon and herbs. Found this perfectly balanced and perfect with my "merluzzo" dish! Great value for a solid balanced flavorful white wine.

Added May 21, 2012 at 9:54amStill young for Barolo but suprisingly pleasant to drink on its own! This was my favorite Barolo out of a La Morra enoteca communale tasting because it was the most elegant, balanced and smooth with just the right amount of tannins. The vineyards are planted in sandy, silty and clay marl soils giving to a very delicate feel. This wine is not made in barrique but in 20 hl oak casks coming from a small production in Switzerland. I am excited about this small producer, started up by two young brothers. Can't wait to taste more!

Added May 8, 2012 at 8:30amAfter tasting about 15 different wines, I ended with this. At this point it was hard for me to pinpoint aromas and flavors but this wine was the one that definitely WOWED me. A bit more masculine, muscular, powerful. Can be aged up to 20 years I think! The Boito Cru is almost like a Grand Cru within the existing Rizzi Cru. It is a "Bricco" which means it is at the top of the hill. The soil is calcareous and has more clay than the rest of the larger Cru giving it more complex and deeper qualities!

Added May 8, 2012 at 8:09amWe tasted this bottle which had been opened for 2 days and it was amazing how fresh it still was! Orange peels and spices, with ripe red berries on the palate. Nice long finish
