March 2008
The best Cabernet Franc in Virginia. Complex, yet refined, oaky and smooth with a touch of fruit. Subtle hints of strawberry, dark cherry and vanilla on the nose. A nice full body that dances across the tongue ever so elegantly. Finishes clean with soft, well integrated tannins.

A Virginia Bordeaux? Not quite, but an excellent attempt. This wine is a perfect blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvginon and Merlot grapes. The wine has a striking blackish/ruby color, hints of cinnamon, blackberry, cherry, and vanilla. And finishes in the bordeaux tradition: fading tannins and a linguring acidity.
