Added Aug 10, 2004 at 12:00am[Rocking Horse, paired with chicken burrito, salsa, guac] Not my style, though recognized some nice qualities. But thought the tar taste was out of balance with the wine; slightly enhanced by the spicy salsa.

Added Jul 20, 2005 at 12:00amSweet cassis, blueberry, pepper, huge oak, and tannins; goes down hot. Sweet fruit, huge oak and tannins, and heat; everything that traditionalists find objectionable re: new world wines. While I have a more modern palate, I still find this wine to be over the top and lacking in any real complexity. The '02 were superior, and I doubt that this will improve over time. Though not unpleasant to drink if you have some, I would not recommend purchasing.

Added Dec 16, 2006 at 12:00amHighly anticipated, but underwhelmed. Very good wine. Sweet tannins, nice flavor profile, but a little too Aussie for me.
