    97edwardc's Review:

Always outstanding - I love all Kick Ranch syrahs. Rich aroma of dark fruits, nice combination of fruit, modest black pepper, and hints of chocolate on the palate and finish. Outstanding syrah.

A great wine at 2 or 3 (or 4?) times the $9.99 I paid for it at Trader Joe's. Thrilling value given price point. Purple color, medium depth. Pleasant aroma. Rich fruit with nice medium tannin on the palate. Good length. Strongly prefer to the highly rated Ruston Napa cab

This was outstanding. Decanted for 2 1/2 hours, which I think is a must because the last bottle which I popped and poured (not recommended!) was not nearly as good. This one had a beautiful nose of raspberries followed by a full and silky mouthfeel with super-rich berries and stone fruit - smooth tannins and strong but not overwhelming acidity. But the finish - that's what's amazing. A super-extended 90 second plus finish. Outstanding.

Pleasant, but a little too oaky for me. Not distinctive

The best word I can come up with this is "prodigious." It's a big, burly syrah with plenty of heft and alcohol. Lots of deep, rich, dark fruits. Enjoyed it, but also looking forward to what it will have to offer in the coming years.

This is an exceptional syrah. A wonderful nose with hints of pepper, berry, and a touch of chocolate. A wonderful balance of fruit and tannin on the palate. Really, everything from Kick Ranch is extraordinary - this is the essence of fine artisan wine.

Deep purple color. Fairly modest nose - fruit but also some heat (it's 14.5% abv). As others have written, there is some black pepper on the palate, but it's overwhelmed by the fruit. There's LOTS of fruit here, but it's not particularly balanced by tannin or acid. The finish is very long, but not that pleasant. Kind of like a blue raspberry slushy. I've had this before and rated it 92 at that time, but unfortunately did not take notes. At this point it's got some pluses and some minuses for me.
