This was the first wine, for me, that showed what the big deal was about Burgundy. Such complexity, and nuance. Really seductive and elegant. Beautiful spice notes, clean fruit, and great development over time with dinner. Great balanced acidity and clean fine tannins. Sure there are plenty of better Burgundies, but this one left a wonderful impression, and planted the Burgundy seed in my mind.
