Comments: This wine needs to chill out in the cellar for another couple of years! It might be ready to fight for the best young rider jersey in the 2014 Tour de France. On first opening the nose is relatively thin with some minerality and notes of raspberries along with a bit of smoky tart brambles and underbrush. The palate shows tart rhubarb, cranberry and vegetal herbalness with tart dry mineral finish. One day later things have improved, but still not great. The nose shows red berries, light spices, underbrush along with some floral notes. The palate is showing light cranberries with heavy overtones of vegetal tartness including green olives. The finish is still very tart and stemmy.

Comments: The nose is smoky with dark character of plums and loganberries as well as some cracked pepper. The palate is more modest with dark berries and smoky pepper with considerable tartness across the palate and finish.

Comments: On first opening the nose features sour peat, strawberries, leather and tobacco leaf. The palate also shows tobacco leaf, black tea, strawberries with a spicy cedar cigar tobacco leaf finish. One hour later the nose shows rich red raspberry, black tea and spicy tobacco leaf. The palate is featuring tobacco leaf, dark berries, currants and cracked pepper with a finish of spicy cedar tobacco leaf.
