4. Alysian Pinot Noir Hallberg Vineyard Crossroads Russian River Valley (2010)

Tight and a bit smoky and earthy on the nose with hints of rusty earth framing a gently spiced core of red berry/cherry fruit. This open with lovely bright but integrated acids supporting sweet cherry and blueberry fruit that gains a little tart plum note on the backend. The tannins are finely managed adding some firmness on the mid-palate and a light drying edge to the moderately long finish. This is very easy drinking, fresh, light and well balanced with fine snap to it and energy on the moderately long mouthwatering finish. 92pts
