This smells of smoke and ash with some black currant fruit, a bit of roasted bell pepper, and a hint of mint. Rather light on the palate for Cabernet but fresh and balanced with a lovely texture. This has soft tannins, good acids and bright red fruits, a little strawberry but mostly red currant with very soft spice tones that drift over the clean, fresh finish which shows solid length and a lovely interplay of fruit and subtle wood spice. Eminently drinkable and pretty darn tasty. 85pts
