Top 5 wines tasted in Champagne Nov 2011

In December 2011, I spent nearly a month in the Champagne region of France doing historic research for a possible TV documentary. Of course, I took the opportunity to visit a few excellent producers of my favorite beverage. One visit (with hero Anselme Selosse of Champagne Jaques Selosse) turned into a feature article for Sweden's top wine magazine, Allt om Vin. This is a region which could never bore me, though admittedly, it is more fun to try a few wines at a visit than it is to do 150 champagnes in a row back home (the acid positively kills your mouth). These are a few favorite wines on the trip, in the higher price categories (though they should still be available for purchase, so no really old vintages).

It is a wonderful region to visit, bring space for shopping of bottles, and please do ask if you want travel advice!
