2 Mionetto Prosecco Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brut (NV)
Comments: Picked up a bottle of this to bring to a friend's brunch this weekend. I'd forgotten how tasty this inexpensive sparkler is! Dry and elegantly styled and not too gassy as some Proseccos at this price point can be. It's a really excellent go to. And tastes much more expensive than it is!

4 Haut Lieu Gaston Huet Domaine le Vouvray Petillant Brut (2005)
Comments: Dry, tart apple flavors. Very refreshing and clean. Had this with a butternut squash and apple soup with warm spices and this matched beautifully.

5 Naveran Brut Vintage (2009)
Comments: Wonderful, toasty, citrusy method traditionelle Cava. Unbelievable bargain for the price. I'd rather use this to toast special occasions than some Champagnes twice or thrice its cost.

6 Iron Horse Vineyards Pinot Noir Green Valley Estate Rosé de Pinot Noir (2010)
Comments: Gorgeous sparkler. Vibrant strawberry and tart cherries, delicate bubbles, slightly biscuity. A perfect aperitif!

7 Gramona Cava Brut Gran Cuvee (2008)
Comments: One of the best value sparkling wines around. Tastes way more expensive than it is. A little toasty from some Chardonnay in the blend, which gives it a Champagne-y feel, yet with the typical crispness of a cava. Great bottle to have around just in case.
Previously available for $19.95

8 Llopart Rose Cava Brut Reserva (2007)
Comments: Can't go wrong with this beauty. Luscious berry notes, crisp and refreshing. Great summer wine that matches everything from snacks to BBQ, also perfect in colder months as an aperitif. One of those perfect "shape-shifting" wines that suits a variety of moods and occasions.
Average price: $17.99 from 1 store
