7. Salton Virtude Chardonnay (2011)

From Campahna near Uruguay, barrel fermented and six months in oak Tight, floral, with smoky ham like notes on the nose accenting melon with a hint of papaya. On the palate this is elegant with a leading edge of lemon spritzed melon fruit, round and soft, nicely citrusy inner mouth perfumes and a soft, elegant finish. This has grip on the finish, awfully attractive with at touch of dusty gravelly minerality on the finale. 88pts
