D/H 2015-2021-From the 98 point Brunello producer
As usual, the Valdicava Rosso di Montalcino is one of the more massive Rossos of the vintage. Black-purple in color, super-ripe and full-bodied, it stands out from the rest. Exceptional purity and depth. This is a very classy red.
The 2009 Valdicava Rosso di Montalcino delivers aromas of blackberry, raspberry and floral with hints of spice, chocolate-licorice twist, leather and sandalwood. Firm with fine grained tannins and a ultra-long chewy finish. This has the makeup to be a very special Rosso, but will require a bit more time in bottle to flesh out. "A fruity and firm red, with berry and dried strawberry character, medium body and firm tannins. Well-structured Rosso di Montalcino. " 90 Points James Suckling @sterlingcellars
