Earthy, a bit reductive rubberiness, black currant, floral, gravel, a wisp of smoke, some light toast cognac notes, a subtle infusion of violet and herbs complexity, some sweet licorice tones, molten, bright, zesty acids up front, red fruited then this turns earthy on the palate, nice complexity, fine tannins, a bit of wood tannin emerging on the back end, big depth of fruit on the finish, dusty wood tannin poking out the back, slightly creamy textured but therein a mineral earth note that really binds this together adding tension in the mouth, light sour plum skin notes on the finish. A nice peppery spice on the finish, this needs gamy meat. 88pts
