1 Coppo Moscato Moncalvina (2010)
Comments: Sweet honey dipped peach, pear and orange aromas fill the glass topped with hints of Earl Grey tea. Sweet in the mouth but anchored by fine acidity, this delivers a lovely array of bright and vivid orchard and citrus fruit flavors all topped with a hint of dried herb in a seductively creamy package. Soft yet persistently effervescent with a creamy citrus finish. A bit opulent perhaps but excellent. 90pts

2 Albino Armani Moscato 1607 Veneto Italy (NV)
Comments: Clean and crisp on the nose with sage and lime rind top notes to the core of apricot fruit. With rather effusive bubbles, this seems nicely light on the palate but it is packed with apricot, lemon and melon fruit flavors. A bit drier than expected, this has a faint creamy edge and finishes with juicy acidity and lime flavors. A fairly serious Moscato if there is such a thing. 89pts

3 Cavicchioli U E Figli Malvasia Amabile Vino Frizzante Bianco IGT Emilia (NV)
Comments: Subtle aromatics on the nose show off almost medicinal base notes with pithy citrus aromas. Subtle on entry, this shows off lovely lemon and lemon pith flavors with hints of pollen and herb stems adding complexity. Light, fairly dry, and tart on the finish, this is irresistible. The finish shows a hint of strawberry tops and minerals before fading into pithy citrus flavors that ends on a mineral finale. A sweet sparkler for adults. 88pts

5 Kenwood Vineyards Moscato Zacchera (2011)
Comments: Very lemony and bright on the nose with a nice pithy underlay that adds a hint of bitterness to a bouquet that includes suggestions of flowers and blanched almonds. For a still wine, this is fairly sweet in the mouth, but delivers lovely peach and citrus flavors with that hint of pithiness from the nose serving as a counterweight to the sugar. Round, easy to drink, and fairly complex with floral accents in the mouth, this finishes with juicy acidity and a nice citrus note with mineral hints. Pure fun in a bottle. 87pts

6 Riunite d'Oro Moscato Trebbiano (NV)
Comments: Jammy on the nose with hints of apricot preserves and preserved lemons over a gentle floral base. This is remarkably smooth and easy to drink with soft bubbles that lead to a nice peach and floral mid-palate framed with a hint of lime oil. There's a bit more orange toned fruit on the back end and through the rather long finish. A little more oomph and this would be quite a package, but it is a sure crowd-pleaser as is. 85pts

7 Red Tree Moscato (2010)
Comments: Light and high toned on the nose with gentle lemony fruit, a hint of sage and slightly soapy floral aromas. Lightly effervescent, this offers pleasant if subtle flavors of sweet, candied citrus and peach fruit with a light herbal top note. Very pleasant and easy, and not too sweet but it is understated. 83pts

8 Folonari Moscato (2010)
Comments: A bit lean and mineral on the nose with some stemmy apple fruit. More orchard fruit than the more typical citrus flavors with a nice combination of peach and apple that shows a hint of spice on the back end. The finish is short but also on the dry side. 83pts

10 Jacob"s Creek Moscato White South Eastern Australia Moscato (NV)
Comments: Earthy lime juice and almost salty aromas makes this smell vaguely of a well-made Margarita. This comes off as a little clumsy with its rather coarse carbonation, but it does have attractive lemon juice, lime leaf and pith flavors all wrapped up with hints of lemongrass and orange peel. Finishing fairly dry, there is a lingering lemony flavor that is fresh and rather clean. Nice and easy to drink in a not too sweet package, it’s a touch coarse, but i like the purity of fruity and pith flavors here. 85pts
