Calamus

Mostly I enjoy red wine, especially family owned chateaux of Juridiction Saint Emilion and Pomerol. In the cellar, though, there is a bit of everything. It is important for me to support Ontario wines.

La Gravette de Certan Pomerol

2. La Gravette de Certan Red Bordeaux Blend Pomerol (2009)

« Prev 2 of 2
Average price: $64.89 from 2 stores
Bought it in St.Emilion, France so it feels more special than buying it at the store. Dark burgundy. Dark berry, pepper, and plum on the nose. There is a bitterness like an oily espresso. Gorgeous long legs on the glass. High in tannin and warm. A hint of rosehip or violet or lilac accompanies black pepper, ripe raspberry and mulberry. The finish is ripe plum, pepper, and a zingy tannin feel on the tongue. Perfect for a Saturday night of sipping and reminiscing.
