Great Rose - Summer fun!

Rank Wine Rating Price
1 Acrobat Rose United States Oregon (2011)
Comments: This is a really fun and easy Rose, a good entrance wine for those unfamiliar with what good Rose tastes like. It's bursting with summer fruit and is sweet but not overtly. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a snapshot into higher quality Rose without spending a bundle.

2 Blackbird Vineyards Merlot Blend Napa Valley Arriviste (2010)
Comments: Incredibly fruity on the nose with an almost applesaucey quality. Very large in the mouth with strong fruit flavors and great mouth feel, just a touch of viscosity. A bit of sweetness here makes me want to eat something salty.

3 Apaltagua Apaltua Rose of Carmenere (2011)
Comments: Acidic on the nose with grapefruit, and something heavier lurking behind, almost musky or meaty to me. Tastes a bit perfumed but with a salty quality. Fruitier nuances linger on finish. Acidic but not overly mouthwateringly so, not too much sweetness here. I'd definitely do this again.

4 Muga Rosé Rioja (2010)
Comments: Beautiful pink color. Light strawberry with a little yeast and an almost Champagne-like flavor. This is very yummy.
