Classic Zin nose filled with fresh raspberry fruit framed by a little white chocolate, briar, pepper and a hint of bacon fat. Elegant and aromatic in the mouth, this is built on a nice base of slightly austere tannins and fine acids supporting zesty red raspberry and blackberry fruit that has a slightly herbal edge. the oak come into play on the midpalate, adding a touch of spice and leading to a firm finish that shows a little currant notes. Bright and effusive in the mouth with a little mineral edge, this is so pure and refreshing. 94pts

  • 1197158Dennis Haff Have you ever tried the Zin's from Falcon's Nest in Paso Robles? They only produce 4 varietal of Reds, Merlot, Syrah, Cab, and Zin, and they don't sell anything less that 9 years old. Currently working on their 2003 vintage. They are located at 5185 Union Road, across the street from Pear Valley. The owner is from Italy, and makes his own pasta and sauce, sausage, and salami, which he serves in his restaurant, which is on site. His fresh pizza's are to die for. If you haven't been there you need to try it, his wines are soooo smooth.
