This wine has a lovely nose of earth, sweet spice, and drying cherry. The palate shows off the same sorts of notes with a soft mouthfeel and pleasant, lingering finish. Some good friends brought this bottle over, and we paired it with spinach and mushroom stuffed pork loin. It was beautiful, but it could pair with a wide range of dishes, including roasted chicken with winter vegetables, or that same pork loin with a cherry sauce. Delicious.
