  • 1063929Fredi Bassal Esteve ok, the writer knows NO spanish wines at all, just those you can buy in the chepeast supermarket ... ¿Could you hire a spanish sumiller for your spanish wines reviews? This "favs" are absolutely awful !!!

  • 1063929Fredi Bassal Esteve awful list !!!! hire a spanish sumiller for spanish wines, or at least someone who lives there !!! this are export wines and extreamly cheap in supermarkets !!! Doesn´t represnet spanish wines at all !!!! I'm angry, really, if this is the image of spanish wines abroad i should better blow my brains with a shotgun !!!

  • 1129079NachoFerrando Nacho Ferrando, totally agree, what was she thinking off, this are wines to make Sangria or as we drink them in summer togther with Sprite, we call it Tinto de Verano. This does not represent nothing but the cheapest wine list from Spain that I have ever seen.

  • 1257701artisanvin For the most part I have to agree with my fellow posters both hailing from Spain I believe! One exception is that a bit of respect to Riscal Reserva for their long respectful history (with the exception of that awful looking hotel they built on the estate) although it is easy to find this wine in most supermarkets. When I saw the first wine in the photo for this post I knew this was going to be way off the mark. The last wine as well makes perfect bookends to this disaster of a list. Viña Sol flanked by Faustino on the other end? What the #$%&? Well maybe the author lives in an area that only has bad Spanish wines available. Maybe this is not their fault..... Spain today is without a doubt the best area for great wines ESPECIALLY if you are looking for value for money. Look for Campo de Borja for example where you can find great old vine Garnacha for cheap! Also Yecla & Jumilla in South eastern Spain offering inexpensive wines of richness with bold fruit and exploding flavour.
