I spent three beautiful spring days in May in the cellars of the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais rather than in the sunshine. So it was the Chardonnays (and Pinot Noirs, of course) that brightened my days.

This wine has an impressive oyster shell dimension that is evident not only in aromatic nuance but also in texture. Compared to the other wines from this house, there’s a bit less glycerine. Still, it is plenty succulent and doesn’t skimp on its finish. 93 pts
