Everyday favorites from Piedmonte

When dining in my house on a weekday, it's the wines of piedmonte that are poured at my table.  But unfortunatly, you can't always be drinking Barolo.  This is a list of my favorite house wines from Piedmont.

8. Cantina del Pino Langhe Freisa (2010)

The nose showed fresh blackberries, floral undergrowth and powdered sugar. On the palate it was beautifully fresh with a spritz of bubbly and flavors of bitter crushed red berries and medicinal herbs, which carried through the enjoyably fresh finish with a lingering note of tart berry.
