Dry Whites with Expressive Noses from Around the World

Some wines just pull you in with their aromas, with noses that almost literally jump out of the glass when you go in for a smell. I love a wine with an expressive nose, but many times people associate these floral, perfumed, fruity noses with sweet wines. There are many, however, with pretty, fruity and floral noses that are quite dry - a combination that's often surprising people. Here's a sampling of such white wines.

1	Xavier Gerard Viognier Vdp des Collines Rhodaniennes (2009) Comments: A lovely example of Viognier from the Rhone. This example shows off pretty citrus fruit and floral aromas. Medium-bodied, dry, and perfectly elegant.		Previously available for $32.⁹⁹	List It
2	Cantina Produttori Colterenzio Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Pfefferer Moscato Giallo (2009) Comments: This is such a surprising wine for people who see Moscato and automatically think sweet.
