Cono Sur Vision Single Vineyard Casablanca Valley (2011)
Comments:
Ripe fruit with a touch of creaminess on the nose leads to a slightly vegetal, green fruit and apricot nose that smells a bit sweet. On entry, this shows dusty soil tones that are bright and fresh up front and become a little leesy on the mid-palate. Mid-palate is creamy with citrus and unripe peach flavors. Shows good length with dusty quartz notes on the nicely long fish. This shows a touch of fig flavor on the back end and through the cut finish. 89pts

Matetic Eq Sauvignon Blanc Coastal Casablanca (2011)
Comments:
Sweet and soft on the nose with a gentle mineral note lending nice, gentle complexity and making this a bit smoky. Fresh and clear on entry with a sweet vegetal aspect to the asparagus and canned peas. Just a touch of canned corn reduction. Salty finish gains a nice little melon note, sweet lime and a peachy background. 88pts

Concha Y Toro Sauvignon Blanc Terrunyo (2011)
Comments:
Earthy, leesy, floral, dusty and mineral on the nose with subdued, innate greengage plum sweetness. On the palate this is open and fairly rich with some herbal notes, more melon and a touch of gunpowder, all leading to a soft yet fairly intense finish with lemon oil notes. 88pts

Stony on the nose with a light sweetness of greengage plum that’s spicy with a green herbal, tomato leaf edge. On entry this shows pineapple with vibrant acids. Really racy, crisp and fresh with some light green plum skin fruit on the finish. A bit simple but wildly refreshing. 87pts

Viñedos Bouchon J. Sauvignon Blanc Maule Valley las Mercedes (2011)
Comments:
Woody with bacon fat aromas over some green fruit, with a hint of nettle on the nose. This is bright in the mouth with some dissolved CO2 adding a touch of detail to the nicely smooth feel. Round and lush with a bit of apple and melon fruit. This shows a touch of wood tannin on the back end. Short, clean and fresh if not sapid. 85pts

Comments:
Fresh with a touch of green herb and tarragon on the nose, all over kiwi and gooseberry fruit. This shows a lovely mouth feel. A touch of RS balances the acid, which is sort of soft but still perky on the back end, with sour melon and lemon notes. Short on the finish. 83pts
