This smells downright flinty on the nose with a slightly vegetal undertone to the waxy fruit aromas that are topped with a fine jammy note of raspberry and golden raspberries. Very linear in the mouth with fine acidity lending this a bright, slightly nervous mouth feel. The fruit is pure and fresh with hints of the berries found on the nose, layered over apple, pomelo and almost pineapple skin-like fruit that extends over the modest finish. I wish this was a little longer. 88pts

  • 79282gerrad of course, u cant get a lot of aussie stuff in usa..but i agree with micheal n chooch- being from west oz.; add la violetta, howard park, gilberts, galafrey, castle rock est.,plantagenet 012 (just cleaned up 3 trophies), 3drops, forest hill..and they all make reds and whites of most varieties u can name. otherwise, eden valley (henschke, pewsey vale) or clare valley (grosset, knappstein, paulett) or tasmania (bay of fires, tamar ridge, glaetzer-dixon etc.) add seppelt drumborg, leo buring leonay and anything by flavour-of-the-month par excellence- larry cherubino! keep up the good work.
