All positions are full time and based in New York or San Francisco. We're currently looking to fill the following positions:

Direct Sales Manager

Snooth (snooth.com), the largest wine site in the world, is looking for a highly talented and motivated Direct Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for selling Snooth's online ad inventory as well as working cooperatively with the Marketing Director to design and sell integrated marketing packages to winery trade groups.

Duties Include:

Increase revenue through sales of advertising inventory and marketing campaigns.
Define and maintain client list.
Develop and sell online ad campaigns.
Build relations with wine trade groups and develop highly integrated marketing campaigns for them.

Skills Needed:

Knowledge of and contacts in luxury brand advertisers.
3+ years experience selling advertising in online or offline media.
Thorough understanding of the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Experience with food, wine, and lifestyle brands.
Good understanding of the wine industry and its unique structure.
Good understanding of the digital media landscape, as well as a solid grasp of the web and social networks.
Excellent understanding of agency dynamics and how they operate.
Understanding of audience demographics, online ad targeting, and campaign optimization.
BA/BS degree required.

Position Description:

The Direct Sales Manager position will work alongside a dedicated team to drive Snooth's growth. Snooth has proven revenue streams but it is up to this person to expand the client list and develop and maximize new sources of revenue.

This is a new position at Snooth - we are looking for a highly motivated hunter type who is hungry and does not take no for an answer. Snooth is a fast growing brand with a highly desirable demographic, but is still relatively new to the advertising world. You must be able to turn an initial No into Yes.

Snooth's team is smart, ambitious, and passionate; the environment is relaxed and a lot of fun despite lots of tight deadlines. We are focused on quick, quality completion of projects and excited by what we do. If you like wine, that's always a plus.

Systems/Software Engineer

Snooth (snooth.com), the world's largest online wine marketplace, is looking for a smart, hardworking systems/software engineer.

Duties Include:

Meet Snooth's hardware needs including server configuration, maintenance, backups, recovery, and future deployment.
Build software in Perl to clean and analyze the data in our massive database.
Maintain existing Perl code.

Skills Needed:

System's administration (15+ CentOS 5 machines and growing rapidly)
Object-oriented Perl
SQL (PostgreSQL experience a plus)
Shell scripting
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Product Manager / UI Whiz

Snooth (snooth.com), the world's largest online wine marketplace, is looking for a smart, experienced and driven Product Manager.

Duties Include:

Work closely with CTO and Director of Marketing in defining and enhancing product feature set.
Identify new product opportunities and focus on user experience optimization.
Optimizing user experience through split testing and other methods.
Define product use cases and making sure product meets user needs.

Skills Needed:

3-5 years experience in web product management, ideally related to specifying and rolling out complex, dynamic, consumer-facing websites and online products / applications.
Strong statistics background - HCI, information architecture etc.
Experience analyzing quantitative data and translating it into actionable information.
Proven experience creating successful, large-scale, consumer-facing sites.
Knowledge of online advertising, web analytics and conversion metrics a plus.
BA/BS or equivalent.

Position Description:

You'll work alongside a smart, dedicated team in building the next generation of Snooth. You should have direct experience in product management and user experience optimization at a consumer focused web company. You should be able to effectively communicate with the technology team as well as with the business units. You'll need a creative eye, yet also be expected to rely on quantitative approaches to optimize the user experience.

You will be responsible for creating a world-class online experience for the leading online wine marketplace with a sophisticated, demanding and international audience. You will contribute to an ambitious online strategy with experience planning and customer insights, and executes on the strategy with information architecture, interaction design and visual design, in close collaboration with our technical and marketing teams. User Experience is important at Snooth and you will play a key role in the team. We are looking for a strong practitioner who will gather requirements, review and interpret web statistics and other research data, and help create effective, desirable and intuitive user interfaces. LAMP Developer

Snooth (snooth.com), the world's largest online wine marketplace, looking for a smart, hardworking and meticulous front end engineer. Projects include the Snooth.com website as well as applications and products for other delivery platforms.

Duties Include:

Take detailed project specs and implement them on the application.
Improve current features with new functionality or better cross-browser support.
Test code before it is released on the production environment.
Build unit tests.
Track down and fix any reported bugs.
Light design support. Work with the designer to ensure the pages are consistent and well formed.

Skills Needed:

Excellent (3 years+) with PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML.
Good (1-3 years+) with SQL, Photoshop.
Strong understanding of web technologies and standards.
Excellent communication skills.
