Tomaiolo Chianti Riserva 2004

Member Review by HokieMaverick:

Wow! What an amazing Classico...and dirt cheap!!! A nice, long finish with flavors of fruit (tart cherries) and earthy nose. Quality/Price ratio is way up there. Highly recommended.

The boldness of the Sangiovese in this Classico is amazing.

A true Chianti in every sense of the name. Terrific with a traditional Pasta sauce meal. Can't beat it for the price/age.

Had this wine at a local Italian restaurant last night and was blown away by the price/performance. This is not only an excellent value, but an excellent wine...food friendly and character that sets it a league apart from most Chianti's, even Riserva's
