The Hess Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2007
Luscious aromas full of blackberry jam. Warm flavors, good, drying tannins add some structure. Juicy, medium to full bodied and clean with a hint of sweetness amid the dark ripe fruit.
black currants, black berries, black plums on the palate, rich and full bodies filled with varying dark fruit and cocoa, dark chocolate, nice structure and complexity, fairly balanced, long finish
White pepper and cherry notes with a little cinammon on the nose. Mineral with a crisp attack. Sour cherry and white pepper in the mid-palate with a black licorice finish. Solid tannins on the finish of leather and cedar.
This is just a good solid Cab. Nothing offends. Nice complexity, mouthfeel and finish. Well rounded wine.
Two and a half glasses
