Nik Weis, the man behind St. Urbans-Hof, turned to his neighbors in the Mosel to produce this crisp, mineral-inflected wine that shows the distinctive semi-dry flavors of mango, passion fruit and lime that have made Nik's wines famous.
From famed German winemaker Nik Weis, the Urban Riesling is crisp and clean, full of ripe stone fruit flavors. Light bodied and refreshing, with just a hint of sweetness, it's perfect for accompanying grilled fish, light pasta dishes or veggie trays.

Nik Weisrsquo;s virtually-dry ldquo;negociantrdquo; 2009 Urban Riesling mdash; sourced from Mehring mdash; scatters apple blossom and clover in the nose; comes to the palate leesy and almost a bit lactic yet refreshing, brimming with apple and musk melon juices, pungently citrus-zest-tinged; and finishes with a genuine sense of stone and fruit interplay. Plan to enjoy it over the next 2ndash;3 years.
Lime, apple and a touch of mineral take on a hard edge by the finish in this compact Riesling. Enjoy it on the early side. Drink now through 2010.
A fruity nose of mostly peach and honey, although a hint of pear is present as well. On the sweeter side, but not without a good dose of minerality. Crisp, short finish.
Produced by famed German winemaker Nik Weis, this is light and spirited, with ripe pear, crisp green apple and apricot notes. Semi-dry, but with a lot of acidity to balance the fruitiness; great with baked chicken with roasted red potatoes and green beans.
