Simi Sauvignon Blanc 2009
This brilliantly clear, light straw-colored wine smells of pineapple, passion fruit, guava and grapefruit, with a hint of minerality. The palate offers generous nectarine and grapefruit with some flinty notes and a clean, refreshing finish. Simi Sauvignon Blanc pairs wonderfully well with gazpacho, raw oysters, and beet, orange and goat cheese salad.
A more subtle style of Sauvignon Blanc that is both light and refreshing. Pear, apple and a hint of spice set off with medium acidity and good balance. A very nice mid week drinker.
A solid 3, overpriced over $10
Decent sauvignon blanc, especially for the price. Nice citrus flavors, green apple but not the over the top grapefruit. Decent balance and nice acidity. Good summer time deck wine.
Crisp and light but lacking flavor.
Quite pale color. Herbal, grassy nose. Fortunately, that herbalness and grassiness is very much diminished in the mouth. Very pleasant lime tartness on the palate--not quite as tart as most NZ SBs, but significant presence. Back label indicates grapes are sourced from Alexander, Knight's and Russian River Valleys. Sharp green apple and fennel; good acidity. Excellent example of what I love about Sonoma Sauv Blancs and at a great value.

This wine has a nose of fig, grapefruit, and honeydew melon with light hints of minerals.Zesty lemon and lime with touches of melon are on the palate creating a clean, light mineral finish.
With smidgens of Viognier and Sémillon, this wine offers aromas of sweet jasmine and fig, and is bright with some heft on the palate. With suggestions of tropical fruit and apricot, the acidity is subtle.

Only 14% of the wine was barrel fermented this time, to preserve the purity of the rich fruit flavors. All the wine was aged in older French oak and stirred on its lees to promote the silky texture that feels so good in your mouth. What a nice Sauvignon Blanc. Itrsquo;s bone dry and zesty in acidity, with lemon and lime, grapefruit, vanilla and spice flavors that have a touch of savory gooseberry. Great cocktail wine.
