Regnie Mommessin Mommessin 2005
Red-Purple plum color. Distinct aroma of raspberry and blackberry. Light to medium bodies with young tannins and a bit of spiciness. Acidity lingers through the finish and leaves you with a dry mouth. A little unrefined but has potential.
I've tasted better non-villages beaujolais, so this was a disappointment. Smells of gummie bears, ripe cherries and hints of raspberry and strawberry. Highly acidic on the tongue, and candied flavour on the back of the tongue. Not very satisfying -- expected more from a "Villages" appellation.
