Rancho Arroyo Grande Mourvedre 'Dry Farmed' 2007
The nose on the 2007 Mourvedre is wonderfully earthy with notes of sage, cedar, forest floor, prunes, Eucalyptus. The wine has a soft tannin structure with very nice acidity and mid-palate flavors of sandalwood, black and red fruits and fresh mushrooms, and finishes slow, long and rich.
Evolved from ancient sea beds, the soils at Rancho Arroyo Grande abound with fossilized shells. Their rich mineral content supports wines of complexity and mystery. Limited Wines Include: Viognier, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Zinfandel.
