Perticaia Montefalco Rosso 2006

External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:

Hereandrsquo;s a standout Rosso di Montefalco (a combination of well-structured Sagrantino grapes and fragrant Sangiovese with some Colorino and Merlot) that delivers a full bouquet of Indian spice, clove, cardamom, black cherry and prune. The wine glides smooth over the palate thanks to the soft nature of its tannins.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

The estateandrsquo;s 2006 Montefalco Rosso is a very pretty, stylish wine. Ripe red fruits, flowers and sweet spices are some of the nuances that emerge from this delicious, entry-level red. The Rosso is mostly Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Colorino and Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2009andndash;2012.
