Mauritson Sauvignon Blanc Dry Creek California Wine 2006
2006 Mauritson Sauvignon Blanc The bright pink grapefruit aromas in the nose are accentuated by dried apricot and fresh cut hay. The round texture in the mouth conjures flavors of honeydew melon and peach orchard. The lush yet vibrant mouth feel gives way to clean balanced acidity in the back of the palate where the wine finishes clean with a hint of mineral. Truly a wine with a sense of place! This is a california wine
One of the best domestic sauvignon blancs I've had in a long time. Blessed be, no oak. Fresh and grassy, but not assertive in the way of a NZ SB. Instead, warmer melon, meyer lemon, and clementine flavors accompany the grassy notes. Very nice. Would definitely buy again. Thanksgiving pick.

Dry, refreshing, and great with desserts. In my opinion, it's better than the New Zealand versions out there.
