Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2007
A vibrant wine style with a zesty crisp acidity and lively palate of gooseberry and apple favors, with hints of green melon. A freshness and appealing intensity completes this elegent wine. Great starter for any evening!"Primarily a red wine drinker, I was pleasantly surprised to find a new favorite in Matua Valley's 2007 Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. The aroma first captivated my senses with it's bright citrus and mild honey notes. Lemon fruit, tangerine and a touch of pine on the palate with a refreshing, balanced acidity make this a great food companion. I tried it with seared scallops, wild rice, and a light arugula salad. Wow...a match made in heaven! ~ Tim Kessinger"

grassy, herbal citrus notes of grapefruit pithe, tinge of peach - a very aromatic nose. Full of grapefruit, lemon, lime, crisp acidity with a little floral on the palate as well. excellent fruit and acidic balance
Good value in this 2007 vintage. While it may not be a show-stopper, it's easy drinking. Very herbaceous with citrus notes on the nose, and the palate follows up with passionfruit on a medium finish.
Nothing close to the Matua vintage of a few yeats ago. Flat and boring, I'd stick with my Nobilo that I love.
